We’ve put together some commonly asked questions to give you more information about our services.

If you have a question that you can’t find the answer to, please use the contact us page.

Why should I contact Route to Registration UK Ltd?

We provide independent advice to the Foreign Dental Care Professional and a ‘check before you send’ service on your application prior to you submitting your completed application to the General Dental Council (GDC) to work in the UK. We do not guarantee that you will get registration but we will ensure your application is ‘Application Ready’ for a panel to assess. The panel will assess your clinical skills alongside your qualifications and supporting documents.

We do not fear the nitpicking scare tactics that are often used by the General Dental Council, we are here to guide and support you.

Why should I pay a Fee to you?

It is our aim to ensure you submit a completed application to the General Dental Council and be confident that it will be submitted to a panel for consideration. The General Dental Council has announced that from 1 January 2020 a registration application fee is being introduced:

How long will you take to provide feedback on my application and supporting documents.

We endeavour to respond within 14 days of receiving your request.

Do you fill my forms for me on my behalf?

No we cannot complete the learning outcomes form for you as that is your responsibility. Who better to know their syllabus than the person who studied it throughout their undergraduate years.

We clearly state that we guide you through the process of completing your application. Why don’t you begin completing the form and then show me how you are getting on.

Don’t fall into the false promises of those that offer you the service of completing your forms for you. Just imagine how many they have done before you. Do you think the council won’t find out, do you think the assessment panels won’t see similarities or patterns emerging? I’m positive they will.

Then what will you do if you are challenged? Think about it this is your integrity your qualification your skills and knowledge that will be brought into disrepute.

How do I send my documents for you to check?

Your documents including any large files can be exchanged quickly, easily and securely by simply sharing a link to files in Dropbox. Whether big or small, recipients can view or download in seconds. Before sending documents to us you will have paid the appropriate fee and a reference number will be generated. When uploading the documents you will quote your unique number as a reference. Do not send documents via the post as we will not accept them.

What happens if my application is unsuccessful at the General Dental Council Assessment Panel.

Once you have received your decision letter outlining your deficient learning outcomes we will look at whether you had this information initially. We can also explore avenues such as doing online learning or enrolling on a course. Under the General Dental Council FAQs applicants refused registration at first attempt are required to pay the registration application fee again if they re-apply. The only exception to this is the GDC is allowing one opportunity to submit outstanding documents or additional information within 20 working days. Please note that if this information is not provided within the 20 working day timeframe payment will be required for any future application.
