The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardised test designed to assess the English language proficiency of non-native speakers. It evaluates four key language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. There are two modules of the IELTS: Academic and General Training. The Academic module is intended for those who want to enrol in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors, engineers, and nurses who want to study or practice in an English-speaking country.
